Paint night with Miskomin Twenish

Happy Goat Coffee Co. (35 Laurel Street, Ottawa)

November 9, 2023

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Invite a friend or two and bring your creativity for a fun night of painting together!

CUAG invites members of the Indigenous community to join artist Miskomin Twenish for an evening of painting. We’ll be inspired by Christian Chapman’s boundary-pushing take on Woodlands style as seen in his current exhibition Christian Chapman: Run to the Hills!.

As an artist, colour is an important element for Miskomin; she likes to aim for bright/colourful in her work, hoping that the viewer who looks at her art feels a significant uplift in their spirit. Miskomin also hopes to inspire other Indigenous artists in the same way she was and that they get the uplift they need to create.

Please note that this workshop is created for Indigenous folks. Please email fiona.wright@carleton.ca to reserve your spot.

Light refreshments will be available, along with a cash bar. All workshop supplies will be provided.

Access Happy Goat Coffee Co. is wheelchair accessible and has gender neutral washrooms.
