Deploying familiar nation-state symbols and their representational tools of exchange—anthems, flags and currencies—Reed’s work highlights the ways in which our world is ordered.
Through drawing, video, audio, and book works, the Ottawa-born, Berlin-based artist amplifies and recomposes these appropriated forms into aggregates that foreground the need for new models of identification and transaction that reflect our complex global condition.
