Access during construction

A big construction project at the north end of campus has changed the usual routes to CUAG. This map shows the easiest ways to get to CUAG. Look below the map for detailed directions.

We’ve also created a wayfinding video for drivers. Watch the video here.

Directions

Car

Take Bronson Avenue to the Sunnyside Avenue entrance to the campus. Turn into campus and go straight. Enter the roundabout and exit out the back, crossing the bridge over the O-Train tracks. At the stop sign, turn right and park in the nearby parkade (Lot P18). The route from the parkade to CUAG is marked with a green dotted line on the map above.
Description of route: After you park in the P18 parkade, walk out, turn right and walk through the parking lot, following the blue construction fencing all the way to CUAG.

Bus

Bus routes 7, 10 and 111 provide direct service to campus. The closest stop to CUAG is 6612, at Teraanga Commons (formerly Residence Commons). The route to CUAG is marked with a blue dotted line on the map above.
Description of route: Enter Teraanga Commons, go up the stairs and through the building, exiting onto the path outside. Turn right. The St Patrick’s building is ahead on your left.

Bicycle

There is a bicycle path beside Colonel By Drive with access to Carleton at Hartwell Locks. Once on campus, head north to the residence sector and lock your bike in the racks outside the St. Patrick’s Building.

Para Transpo

The closest Para Transpo stop to CUAG is #19, at Teraanga Commons (formerly Residence Commons). The route to CUAG is marked with a blue dotted line on the map above.
Description of route: Enter Teraanga Commons. Stay to the left of the stairs and go through three sets of doors to enter the tunnel. Turn right at the first junction and left at the second junction. The St Patrick’s building lobby and CUAG entrance are just ahead, through a set of doors.

Train

The O-Train Trillium Line (Line 2) that serves Carleton is closed for construction. It has been replaced with R2 bus service that stops at all Line 2 stations. Bus fares are the same as for the O-Train.

Parking

All visitor parking at the north end of campus is in the P18 parkade, built over the O-train tracks. The entrance is located on the parkade’s west side. Here is a parking map.

The parkade is a three-level structure that has four “pay by plate” machines on each level, one in each corner. The exception is level 3, which has three machines.

***You do not need an app to pay for parking in the P18 parkade*** You can pay with a credit card at all the machines. You can pay with coins at one machine on level 1 (at the D-1 stairwell) and one machine on level 2 (at the D-2 stairwell). Once you’ve purchased a ticket, display it on your dashboard and park anywhere in the parkade.
