On weekdays before 5 pm, visitors can park in lot P7 ($5.00/ hour or $12 daily max).
On weekends and after 5 pm, visitors can park in P7 ($5.00/hour or $12 daily max, or the parkade, P18 ($6.50/hour or up to 4 hours for $26).

Please note that construction south of Rideau House on Campus Avenue means that lot P17 is currently unavailable.
There are five accessible parking spots reserved for those with Accessibility permits in lot P6 next to the Leeds residence. Payment can be made using the Hot Spot app, payment machine or this ink once you have parked.
There are three 15-minute max “deliveries” parking spots available in P6, opposite the Accessible parking spots, adjacent to Leeds House.
Please note that south of Rideau House, Campus Ave is closed for repair to the watermain, thus lot P17 is currently unavailable.
Directions
Car
Read the parking overview below. Choose one to park in and follow the driving directions. The route from all visitor parking areas to CUAG is marked with a green line on the map above.
Description of access route: From P7 or P18, proceed toward large white and red building, Rideau House, and take the pedestrian path south to the St. Patrick’s Building, which will be on your right.
Bus
Bus routes 2, 7, 10, 48, and 111 provide direct service to campus. All busses are currently serving University Avenue only, while Campus Avenue is under construction.
Description of access route: Cross the pathway under the O-Train tracks and cross Campus Avenue to Library Road. Turn right at Prescott House and proceed down the pedestrian pathway. The St Patrick’s Building is at the end of this pathway, on the left.
Bike
There is a bicycle path beside Colonel By Drive with access to Carleton at Hartwell Locks. Once on campus, head north to the residence sector and lock your bike in the racks outside the St. Patrick’s Building.
There are also bicycle paths along the Rideau River and through Vincent Massey Park that connect with the Rideau River Pedestrian Bridge at the south end of campus.
Para Transpo
The closest Para Transpo stop to CUAG is #18,at Lanark House. The route to CUAG is marked with a green line on the map above.
Description of access route: Proceed north down the pedestrian pathway between the residence buildings. CUAG is in the St. Patrick’s Building, on your left near the end of the pathway.
Train
The O-Train Trillium Line (Line 2) that serves Carleton is up and running, as of 6 January 2025.
Description of access route: Exit the train station and cross Campus Avenue to Library Road. Turn right at Prescott House and proceed down the pedestrian pathway. The St Patrick’s Building is at the end of this pathway, on the left.
Rideshare
Ask for “Leeds House” when booking your rideshare to be dropped off and picked up at our suggested rideshare location. You’ll arrive in the southwest corner of the P6 parking lot near the pathway into campus that runs between Leeds House and Rideau House residence buildings. The route from our suggested rideshare location to CUAG is marked with a green line on the map above.
Description of access route: Exit your rideshare in the southwest corner of the P6 parking lot, nearest Leeds House and Rideau House. Proceed down the pedestrian pathway, with Leeds House on your right and Rideau House on your left. Continue straight down this pathway, passing Dundas House on your left. The St Patrick’s Building is ahead on your right.

Parking
All visitor parking is paid. You can pay one of three ways:
- Via a pay-by-plate machine, using coins, debit card, credit card.
- Via your mobile device, using Hotspot. You do not need to download the Hotspot app or have an account to pay. In every lot there is signage with a QR code that links you to Hotspot.
- This portal.
PARKING ON WEEKDAYS
Weekdays option 1: Lot P7
Lot P7 is a big paved lot at the northeast corner of campus.
7:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. / $5.00 per hour or $12.00 daily max
Directions to Lot P7:
Enter the campus from Bronson Avenue. Enter the roundabout and exit immediately on the right, into Lot P7. Drive past the parkade and turn LEFT into the big gravel lot. Park anywhere.
Payment at Lot P7:
Option 1: Pay using this link after you have parked.
Option 2: ONLINE / Use your mobile device to scan the QR code on the sign posted in the lot and pay using Hotspot. You do not need to download the Hotspot app or have an account.
Option 3: PAY STATION / A pay-by-plate machine is located inside the parkade, at the closest (northeast) corner of the parkade. The pay station takes coins, and debit and credit cards. Enter your license plate number to begin the payment process.
PARKING ON WEEKENDS
P18 parkade built over the O-train tracks.

Directions to P18:
Enter the campus from Bronson Avenue. Enter the roundabout and exit out the back, crossing the bridge over the O-Train tracks. At the stop sign, turn RIGHT and enter the parkade.

Option 2: PAY STATION / There are two pay pay-by-plate machines in the parkade. D1 is located on Level 1, in the southwest corner. D2 is located on Level 2, in the southwest corner. The pay stations take coins, and debit and credit cards. Enter your license plate number to begin the payment process.
