CUAG Downtown

Carleton University made a bold change to the region’s cultural landscape in 2018.

It purchased Dominion-Chalmers United Church, a beloved heritage building located in the heart of downtown Ottawa.

Carleton has transformed the building into a satellite site for performance, arts and learning, called Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre (CDCC). The facilities include a 900-seat sanctuary with amazing acoustics, a large hall and many other wonderful spaces.

We are now offering free and innovative art-based programs at CDCC. They are inspired by and linked to the exhibitions we present at CUAG.

See you downtown!

CDCC is bounded by Lisgar, O’Connor and Cooper Streets. The official municipal address is 355 Cooper. The parking lot and main entrance are located at 290 Lisgar.

CDCC is accessible, with an elevator and barrier-free washrooms. It has two entrances with ramps: one at 355 Cooper and one at 290 Lisgar. The Para Transpo drop-off is at 355 Cooper.

Paid parking is available in the Lisgar Street lot, at the corner of Lisgar and O’Connor. There is metered parking on many nearby streets.

More information on accessing CDCC is available here.
