In 2025, CUAG opened CUAG Centretown at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre. As a part of the launch, CUAG commissioned artist Yomi Orimoloye to create a site-responsive mural to highlight the new space.
Yomi’s work was called “The Third Door,” a digitally-designed mural that extends the threshold space outside the Main hall with a garden-like landscape.

Former CUAG Ambassador Tan Bucktowar interviewed Yomi about the work, his artistic process, and what it means to design a site-responsive work.
Annual mural installations are made possible with generous support from BMO Canada. Our partnership represents a shared commitment to creating opportunities for artists in Ottawa-Gatinueau that contribute to a vibrant art and performance space experienced by more than 40,000 people throughout the year.
