Gathering // Sketch & Stretch with Corinne Blouin

The Arboretum, Ottawa

July 28 - August 24, 2022

7:00 pm

Relax and express yourself in the beautiful Arboretum

In these expressive and relaxing drop-in sessions, artist Corinne Blouin will lead participants through a visualization meditation that includes gentle movement, stretching and sketching.

There are three Thursday evening sessions: 28 July, 18 August and 24 August

Together, we will connect to our creative energies and spend time outside, while experiencing artmaking as an accessible tool for healthy self-soothing.

This event is free, and everyone is welcome to attend!  Please bring a yoga mat, journal or sketchbook and a drawing utensil. Additional supplies will be available.

Access The paths around Dow’s Lake and in the Arboretum are partially wheelchair accessible. We will choose a site close to the path. The movement portion of this workshop is gentle and modifications are available for all physical needs.

Location We will meet at the turning circle beside Dow’s Lake Pavilion. Please email Fiona Wright with any questions.

Corinne Blouin (she\her) is a francophone multi-disciplinary artist and creative process guide living on unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin territory. Through art-making, she questions the intricate relationships between human emotion and the energetic body in order to create a deeper understanding of her personal narratives and inner worlds. She explores the subtle worlds of dream states,  physical/emotional transformation and organic states of being to create otherworldly paintings, illustrations, murals, installations and performances.

Corinne has a diploma in graphic design as well as certifications in Hatha Yoga (2oohr), Reiki (levels 1-3) and holistic sound healing. She loves to guide others in finding their own authentic creative expressions through these modalities. She has facilitated various group workshops and supported others one-on-one since 2018.
