The first edition of this beautiful book sold out in hours! We are excited to bring you the second edition, which features new content, including five painted portraits by Belcourt of Métis Elders, in the collection of the Gabriel Dumont Institute.
The 140-page softcover book traces Christi Belcourt’s work over three decades, including recent paintings made with Isaac Murdoch, and documents Belcourt’s and Murdoch’s collaborative activism. It features an artist’s statement by Belcourt and essays by curator Nadia Kurd and guest writers Sherry Farrell Racette and Dylan Miner, in English and Anishinaabemowin.
