Join an informal, conversational tour of Joi T. Arcand: ᑳᐃᓯᓈᑿᐦᑭᐃᑘᐏᓇ kā-isinākwahki itwēwina: The Shape of Words with artist Joi T. Arcand and three guests: Heather Anderson, Omeasoo Wahpasiw and Kai Recollet.
Arcand will field questions from Heather, Omeasoo and Kai, offering insights into the works’ stories, themes and questions.

Heather Anderson is Acting Director of Carleton University Art Gallery, previously Curator, where she integrates an artist-centered approach to exhibition making within an interdisciplinary environment.
Joi T. Arcand is an artist from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation (Saskatchewan) Treaty 6 Territory, currently residing in Ottawa (Ontario) on unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Territory.
Omeasoo Wahpasiw is a nehiyaw iskwew living in Anishinaabe territory. She is an Assistant Professor in Carleton University in the Department of History, the School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies and the School of Architecture and Urbanism.
Kai Recollet is an urban Cree scholar/artist/and writer whose work focuses on relationality and care as both an analytic and technology for Indigenous movement-based forms of inquiry within urban spaces.
