How can art help us feel at home in our city? How can we voice our opinion? From graffiti to stickers and stencils, artists have long used the urban landscape to make their presence known, share ideas and claim space for themselves.
Join graffiti artist Mique Michelle for a hands-on evening of experimenting with different ways of making your mark. We’ll play with styles and techniques for creating artistic interventions in the urban landscape. You’ll learn how to build your own surface, try out what works for you and how to access space in your community.
This workshop is free and all materials are included. No experience necessary.

Access: CUAG is an accessible space with barrier-free washrooms and an elevator. We will be using water-based spray paint.

Mique Michelle is a Franco-Ontarienne, originally from West Nipissing. Her murals can be found all over the world. She uses graffiti as a way to create awareness about the oppression that visible and invisible minorities face.
